Thermobexta’s ABC Nut Butter

Nut butter is so easy to make in your thermal mixer. It’s a staple in our house and our favourite mix is A-B-C: Almond, Brazil nut and Cashew. You can use any combination of nuts you have on hand, though.

Thermobexta’s Lime Avocado Mayonnaise

Avo Mayo

I bought a bottle of avocado oil a long time ago after hearing how good it is in mayonnaise.  It was soon lost and forgotten in my small, overfull pantry, until recently.  I made this mayonnaise the other night when I decided to make sushi for my girls’ lunch boxes and realised I had limited filling ingredients – a flavoursome mayo was essential.  This turned out even better than expected!  The oil I used was lime infused, which added another fantastic element and if you can find the same one, I highly recommend it.  If not, a plain avo oil will be fine, but I would suggest increasing the apple cider vinegar a little if so.  A friend has since made my recipe in this way and was hooked upon first taste 🙂 Continue reading Thermobexta’s Lime Avocado Mayonnaise

Thermobexta’s Spiced Fig, Honey & Lemon Jam

Spiced Fig Jam

I know that I have a couple of popular jam recipes here on my blog, but I’m going to have to say this – this fig jam is the best one!  I have used honey as part of the sweetener (you can’t use it as the entire sweetener unfortunately) and the spices add such a lovely, warm flavour.  The lemon makes the flavours really ‘pop’ and adding it towards the end means it doesn’t change the consistency too much.  I do hope you try this 🙂 Continue reading Thermobexta’s Spiced Fig, Honey & Lemon Jam

Thermobexta’s Chocolate Cashew Butter, with mylk chocolate block variation

CCC Nut Butter

Chocolate + Nut butter =  A match made in heaven, really.  The subtle hint of cinnamon takes this to the next level.  Try it, you won’t be sorry 🙂  This can be made either into a spreadable nut butter, or a mylk chocolate block!   Continue reading Thermobexta’s Chocolate Cashew Butter, with mylk chocolate block variation

Thermobexta’s Strawberry Vanilla Jam

StrawberryVan jam

I came up with this after trying a few recipes for strawberry jam that were just too sweet for us.  My recipe uses a small amount of sugar, as far as jam recipes go and has been very popular amongst my facebook group members.

Makes 3-4 jars, depending on the size of them. Continue reading Thermobexta’s Strawberry Vanilla Jam
